Bio

Sensuous Enemy is a female fronted darkwave electronic band that blends driving drum sequences, hard EBM synth lines, and smoothly powerful vocals. Their music combines orchestral strings, piano, and vocal harmonies, while also adding live guitar, bass, and drums in order to create a sublime audio and visual experience.

SE is comprised of JAI [vocalist/lyricist, pianist], John Freriks [programmer/guitarist], Bob Hensley [keyboards], and Katja Lunde [live synths].

SE is currently working on their next full length CD titled “Voyager” to be released in November 16,  2013, recorded and produced by Dan Clark and Eric Oehler of Submersible Studios! Their new single from the CD  “Sirens of the sea” was released digitally September 19, 2013. In 2010 they  released an EP titled “Parity” with three original songs and numerous hard dance floor remixes.

Previously, SE completed their full length CD “Fragments” in 2008, recorded and produced by Wade Alin of The Atomica Project/Christ Analogue in Chicago, Illinois. They went on to win Best Electronic Album of the Year and Best Electronic Song of the Year with “Over” at the 2009 MAMA’s.

They have played great shows with infamous groups like Covenant, Assemblage 23, Imperative Reaction, Combichrist, Rotersand, Android Lust, Razed in Black, Iris, Stromkern,  The Azoic, C/A/T, I:Scintilla, Terrorfakt, Cruciform Injection, The Gothsicles, Caustic, Bella Morte, Null Device, and many others!

They have also played in numerous Electronic Music Festivals like Reverence, Madison Electronic Music Festival, Sound n Fury I and II in Wisconsin, WTII Showcases in Chicago, Elektrofest in Cleveland, OH and much more.
